Brothers Day - May 24

Brother, did you know that today is Brothers Day?
Brothers Day is meant to celebrate the strong bond that exists between brothers. Relationships between siblings is one of the strongest relationships between people. Brothers grow up together in the same house, with the same family, share secrets with each other, play together, quarrel with each other, compete with each other, envy each other and cheer for each other. It should be noted that May 24 is Brothers' Day, the sisters are not included.

Famous brothers
The first famous brothers in history are Cain and Abel who appeared at the beginning of the book of Genesis. This is a story about jealousy and murder, the first murder in history to be exact. It ends badly but it has an important morality of mind: every person is responsible for his actions and has the choice whether to act good or bad.

There are brothers who got along better and even achieved good results, such as the Wright brothers who built the first planes that managed to fly, or the Grimm brothers who wrote wonderful fairy tales.
The bond between the brothers is so strong and occupies such a significant part in the lives of many people, that it has served as an inspiration for hundreds of books, films, paintings, poetry and plays.
Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis are brothers. Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb were members of the BJ band. The five Jacksons were all brothers.
No doubt sometimes the siblings do not get equally the fame or love they deserve, and sometimes it turns out that they feel deprived, but after all, Brotherhood Day is the day to show your brother that you care about him.

How to celebrate Brothers Day?
The simplest - make contact with the brother or brothers and initiate a joint pastime.
Go have a drink at a pub, or a movie, go visit him or just send a message over the phone with a cute GIF file.
If you have not seen your brother for a long time, today is to renew the relationship. You may have missed a lot of things!

Visit Your Relatives Day - May 18

The day of visiting relatives is a special day of the year, it is not clear what its origin is and who invented it, but it is related to other family days such as grandparents' day, mother's day and so on.
As the name implies, this day is meant to encourage visits to family members, especially those who do not have many opportunities to see them.

Visiting family members is something that is often neglected and not done because of a busy schedule, even though most people would like to see their relatives more.
It is best to celebrate the day of the visit of relatives by visiting them, face to face, but if it does not come out, one can also make a virtual visit and celebrate by sending greeting cards and letters to distant family members, calling or chatting online.
There are many sites that offer free electronic greeting cards that can be sent to relatives in honor of this family day.

Single Parent's Day- March 21

Single Parents' Day falls on March 21 in the United States to empower, respect and cherish the single mothers and fathers who raise children alone and to appreciate the hard work, dedication and sacrifice involved in single parenting. When a parent is single, all responsibility is placed on him or her without sharing the burden with anyone else. Whether it is by choice or out of necessity, single parents carry a heavy burden on their shoulders. They need to maneuver between work, school, medical care and household management without sharing roles with anyone else.

A single parent is defined as a man or woman who is raising one or more children alone. Single parenting is usually the result of changes in the two-parent model: separation, divorce, widowhood, and a being single.

Many single parents have family support. Many are assisted by grandparents, siblings and other extended family members. Fortunately, today there are also support groups for single parents on social media where you can get advice and help.

Single parents sometimes have relief and help from the state.

The history of Single Parents' Day

In 1984, Janice Muglan of the United States wrote a position paper in which she expressed the wish that just as Mother's Day and Father's Day should be recognized, the single parent's day should be recognized. The single parent day was announced by President Ronald Reagan on March 21, 1984.

How to celebrate single parents' day?

Although single parents' day is a day declared in the US and celebrated there, we all actually know a family member, friend, neighbor or co-worker who is a single parent. Today is the day to support and appreciate them. Make this day a special day for single parents you know. Use the hashtag #NationalSingleParentDay to post on social media to express and support them.

Forgive Mom & Dad Day- March 18

It is not easy to be a parent. Parenting is a very challenging task and although some parents are better than others, none of them are perfect. March 18 is Forgive Dad and Mom day for the mistakes they made.
This day is an opportunity to let go of the pains of the past and the frustrations, and to understand that our parents had good intentions, even if they let us down and seemed to make it difficult for us in life.
Freeing yourself from anger at parents and forgiveness will help you find the freedom and open the door to a better relationship with them and a better future.

When we are children, we try to achieve independence, and when we make mistakes, it is not always easy for parents to accept it. The big question of parenting is to what extent allow the child to live his life the way he wants and do what they see as a mistake and not prevent it from happening. Especially in our time, when so many changes have taken place and things are so different from the past.
Forgiveness Day for Parents is a day that encourages their acceptance. Today accept them as they are and understand that they are human beings who make mistakes. Just like us.
Parenting does not come with a guide. And parenting guidebooks are not always right. We all have complaints about our parents, so if we let go of the anger and understand that everything comes from worry, we will reach a state of greater health, happiness and well-being.
