The North Pole of the Earth is the mathematical point on the Northern Hemisphere, through which passes the imaginary axis around which the Earth rotates. At this point all the lines of longitude meet. The geographic area where the North Pole is located is known as the Arctic.
In the Arctic region you can find many animals that can live in its frozen climate. For example herbivores, such as arctic hare, Musk ox and caribou (reindeer). Arctic carnivores, such as arctic foxes, arctic wolves and wolverines. A polar bear also lives in the Arctic region, but it feeds mainly on marine animals.
