Matryoshka dolls, or as many call them - Babushka dolls, are wooden hollow dolls, in a way reminiscent of Barbapapa, which enters one another. The outer doll is the largest, and when opened it finds a doll in the same shape only smaller, and within the smaller one there is another smaller and so on. The Matryoshka doll is the symbol of the Russian people. The puppet series symbolizes motherhood. The biggest is the first generation of mothers, the grandmother, and every little doll is a next-generation mom to the smallest who is still just a child.
