Businesswomen's Day is a day celebrated for the equality of men and women in the business world.
Since 1940, women have been assuming increasingly large roles in the business world. In our time, unlike in the past, women have a base almost equal to men when it comes to business and there is a lot of owning businesses and running companies that are women.
Businesswomen's Day is celebrated on September 22 to commemorate the day when businessman Hillary A. He founded the American Businesswomen Association along with three other businesswomen from Kansas City. The organization was established in 1949 to promote women in the business world and give them equal opportunity.
"It was my feeling that all women had equal business opportunities," wrote Hillary Patton later. "They were able to gain tremendous business knowledge during World War II through the need, and I felt there was a need for a new organization for all businesswomen."
Since 1983, International Women's Day has been celebrated around the world, where seminars, meetings and events are held to develop their business networks and share experiences.
September 22 is also Car-Free Day
